First Year Program

Students admitted into the Bachelor of Applied Science program directly from secondary school will take the first-year engineering curriculum.

SECOND Year Program

Students proceeding to second year in the Bachelor of Applied Science (Okanagan) are guaranteed placement into any of the engineering programs at the UBC Okanagan campus: Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering. After first year, students can also apply for consideration to transfer to the UBC Vancouver campus into one of the following programs: Biomedical Engineering, Chemical and Biological Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Environmental Engineering, Geological Engineering, Integrated Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mining Engineering. UBC Vancouver’s 2nd Year Placement is competitive. Admission to a selected program is dependent on performance in first year.
