Biography

Dr. Ramy Saadeldin serves as an adjunct professor at the School of Engineering. He is currently a senior technical officer at Ontario Power Generation. His technical experience includes dam safety and infrastructure management. He is currently involved in the performance mentoring activities conducted annually for OPG dams and generation stations. His experience includes working as a consulting geo-environmental engineer in multidisciplinary firms in Canada, where he was involved in several civil engineering projects in Ontario, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and internationally. His research incorporates a wide range of civil and geo-environmental software packages and methodologies.

Dr. Saadeldin has published several papers on infrastructure management, pipeline engineering, ground improvement techniques, soil-structure interactions, and sensitive soils in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings.

An active member of the Canadian Geotechnical Society, Dr. Saadeldin currently serves on the Executive Membership and Education committees.
