Jing Li received her Ph.D. from the Faculty of Education, Simon Fraser University. Her teaching and research interests include academic literacy, university writing pedagogy, interdisciplinary and intercultural communication, second language writing, and multilingual learner agency and identities in multilingual, multicultural, and globalized environments. Jing’s teaching experience in higher education extends over 14 years, including teaching academic literacy, argumentation, rhetoric and composition, and interdisciplinary and intercultural communication in universities in Canada and China. Prior to joining the School of Engineering, Jing taught Composition in the Faculty of Creative and Critical Studies, Department of English and Cultural Studies at UBCO (2020-2022) and Foundations of Academic Literacy in the Faculty of Education at Simon Fraser University (2018-2019).
