Biography

Dr. Eikenaar is a Technical Communications Instructor in the School of Engineering at the Okanagan campus of the University of British Columbia.  He received his Ph.D. from the University of British Columbia through interdisciplinary research focused on the influence of an author’s persona to the understanding of their literary works.  Jannik is also an instructor with Vantage College, previously taught at Okanagan College, and worked for several years in the publishing industry.

Jannik is an active member of several UBC committees, including the Okanagan Senate and Aboriginal Initiatives Committees, as well as the School of Engineering Faculty & Staff Nomination Committee. He is also the Volleyball Regional Officials Chair for the province, founder of the Lake Country Gymnastics Parent Advisory Council, and coach of his daughter’s soccer team (U8 Girls).
