Assistant Professor André Phillion presented his group’s research and methodology for automated segmentation of cellulose fibres in 3D tomographic images at the Americas Amira-Avizo User Group Meeting held October 1-3, 2014 in Boston, Mass.
His work, titled “Automatic Segmentation of Tortuous Fibrous Structures in 3D Images: Application to Canadian Papermaking Fibers (by André Phillion, Yash Sharma, and Majid Targhagh),” won the prize for the best and most innovative presentation.
