Award-winning EUS Canstruction Team

Vancouver, Canada—February 22, 2011—Representatives from the UBC Okanagan campus Engineering Undergraduate Society participated in Canstruction, Inc. a nonprofit organization that holds annual design and build competitions to construct fantastic, giant sized, structures made entirely out of canned food. At the close of the competitions all of the food used in the structures is donated to the local food banks for distribution to community emergency feeding programs. The EUS team donated around 2700 cans to the food bank from this, and received an award for Structural Integrity of the structure.
