Research Opportunities

Students

There are many opportunities for undergraduate students to get involved in research with the UBC School of Engineering.

Research opportunities can be facilitated through student funding by the Work Study and Work Learn Programs. These programs provide part-time research assistantship salaries for students to work with professors on research projects during the school year or summer months.

The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) administers an NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Awards (USRA) Program that provides undergraduate students with funding for full-time research assistantships during the summer months.  Find out more about new opportunities with the NSERC USRA at UBC Okanagan.

If you are interested in research, please contact a professor with similar research interests and discuss the possibilities for research and funding through the above programs.
